    The Alpine Township Fire Department has received a $44,982 Assistance to Firefighters Grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The money will be used to purchase a second "jaws of life" device and to replace inflatable rescue equipment.
  • Person trapped in two-vehicle collision (North Devon Gazette & Advertiser)

    ONE person was trapped when two vehicles collided on the A3072 between Anvil Corner and Holsworthy Beacon this morning (Monday). Fire engines from Hatherleigh and Bude attended the scene and used hydraulic rescue equipment to release the person, who was taken to hospital by land ambulance.
