    HENDERSON, Ky. — Jack Johnston is to be sentenced Tuesday in Vanderburgh County Court to 18 months in the county jail. The 38-year-old Henderson man was arrested Sept. 14 in Evansville for possession of methamphetamine. Recently, as he talked about his impending incarceration, Johnston hugged his girlfriend, Randi Ivie.

    Pacific Gas and Electric Co. says it never before had problems with the type of pipeline joint under investigation in a fatal Rancho Cordova home explosion.
